1. Using the Mounting Arm Extension you get more hight and you can also mount it in a non rimless aquarium. (The Mounting Arm itself is only compatible with rimless aquariums)

2. Also, you can now mount it directly into the cabinet, while using just the Mounting Arm this is not possible!

• Mounts directly to aquarium tank up to 45cm high (17 inches).
